FIRST Tech Challenge Forums - An Overview

We are almost two months into the FIRST Relic Recovery Season presented by Qualcomm, and teams are now heavily into the design, building, and coding phase of their year. With so much to do and events beginning to happen around the world, teams may have additional questions as they prepare. The FIRST Tech Challenge Forumsare the perfect place to have those questions answered! We have highlighted these forums in almost every resource shared with our community, but we wanted to take a minute to explain why teams would peruse these pages.

The main forums include:

Game Q and A Forum - The Game Q&A Forum is a place where teams can ask questions and receive official feedback about the game rules, robot rules, advancement criteria, and judging. This forum is monitored and answered by our Game Design Committee and answers are often further clarifications of the game rules.
Technology Forum - This is especially a key forum for teams. There are sub-forums for each of our recommended Programming Tools (Blocks, Android Studio/OnBot Java) as well as where software updates are posted.
Community Forum - This is a place for FIRST Tech Challenge coaches and mentors to connect, ask questions, and share great ideas. This is an open forum and not officially monitored by FIRST.

Don't really have a question? Or already see your question posted? You do not need to login to read the forums. These are public spaces and are a great way for all teams to further understand these topics. Check out the questions already posted and learn how other teams are moving through their season.

Every team in FIRST Tech Challenge has access to these forums. For Veteran teams, access would have been granted in previous years. Rookie teams gain access after they have completed registration for their Rookie season. For exact Forum Registration instructions, click here. If your team has access issues, make sure to reach out to us at FIRSTat ftcteams@firstinspires.org. For weekly downloadable versions of our forum, check out our game and season materials page
