One of the best things about being a part of FIRST� is joining a community of like-minded individuals who work toward a common goal. In the short term, that may be building an awesome Robot, but in the long term, that means changing the culture we live in. For every one of us who works for FIRST, participates in the Programs, and most especially donates our time, energy and resources, we do so with the goal that we are making a difference. Where all that starts is within the team environment. Both students and Mentors/Coaches learn and teach each other more than just how to build and program a Robot. They learn about Leadership , careers that are open to them in the future, and the how to work as part of a team. In the majority of careers, knowing how to work as part of a team is essential . Invite, Accept, or Youth Protection Program Screen Coaches� Congratulations!  You�ve started the process of creating a FIRST� Tech Challenge team for the 2016/2017 season. The next step is identifying coaches who will help organize your team, letting students experience all the fun and excitement of FIRST.  You will need a total of two coaches for each team. All you really need to be a great coach is the desire to help students experience the fun and excitement of hands-on STEM involvement. FIRST� Tech Challenge is a student driven program where coaches point the way, provide support and encouragement, and allow the magic to happen. Team Registration: New and Improved

Happy Summer, FIRST� Tech Challenge Teams! That's right! We are more than half-way through the summer, and we here at Headquarters have not been idle (even while partaking in the occasion ice cream cone). The Team Information Matching System (TIMS) has been replaced by our new Team Registration housed within www.firstinspires.org . This system now plays host to ALL FOUR PROGRAM , has easier access between multiple Teams, and is located within our home website. FIRST� as an organization has moved to a single sign on within the FIRST Website ( my.firstinspires.org/Dashboard/ ). All Team Registration for each program is handled through this FIRST Portal. New Teams Once a FIRST account is created and an individual is logged in, Teams will be navigated to the Dashboard where they will be able to select �Create a Team�.
