Introducing the New FIRST Website

We are so excited about the new website, www.firstinspires.org. It looks so awesome!

But where's all the stuff? It's still there, but moving over to the new website, we re-organized and cleaned up to make it more user-friendly. Let's take a brief tour through the new website and help you locate what you need.

When you arrive at the FIRST website, click on Programs, hover over FIRST Tech Challenge, and select a category to get to the FIRST Tech Challenge program pages. Here you will find information about the Game, Season, Starting a Team, Budget, Social Media, and more.

But those pages are really geared more toward folks who are new to FIRST and FIRST Tech Challenge; the resources and materials for Team, Mentors, and Volunteers is located in the Resource Library.

The Resource Library houses individual documents and lists of resources. We've organized most of the resources into lists, such as:
Start a Team Resources
Game and Season Info
Volunteer Resources
and lots more.

This way, the information that is similar, such as Game and Season resources, are all clustered together in a useful way. On the old website, all Team Resources were on one page, but to make it more manageable, we made smaller collections of resources. The bulk of the content is now in two lists:
Team Management Resources
Robot Building Resources.

One of the really cool tools is the opportunity to create an account on the new website. This benefits you, because each resource in the Resource Library can be "favorited" and once you click the heart icon to "favorite" something, it is saved to your Dashboard, which will be easily accessed whenever you login to the new site. To that end, we have a list of all the key resources in the Resource Library which you can start favoriting when you login. This list will also help you find resources in the Resource Library while you are getting used to the new format.

You can read more about the New Website's capabilities and view a Site Map of the website's complete content.

It will take us a couple weeks to iron out all of the kinks, but if you should have trouble locating a resource or navigating the site, or if you find a broken link, please email ftcteams@firstinspires.org. Thank you for your patience and enjoy the new site!
